I saw an incredible video presentation by Seth Godin where he extols the virtues of ignoring safe and ordinary choices in marketing to truly stand out. Seth Godin: Sliced bread and other marketing delights is the title of his talk. He is not only very entertaining but also provides incredible real-life examples. It is a must-see marketing video.
I found the video on ted.com. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.
